In light of the passing of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda, President Bola Tinubu has sent his deepest sympathies to Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

On Sunday morning, Mama Yilwatda, who was eighty-three, died quietly at the University of Jos Teaching Hospital.

In an announcement released by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, the President referred to her as “a woman of virtue who lived a life dedicated to faith, service, and the uplifting of her community.”

He encouraged the chairman of the APC to take comfort in the conviction that her death was the will of the Almighty God.

“I enjoin Prof. Yilwatda to accept her death as the will of Almighty God and be consoled by the life of purpose his mother lived,” the president remarked.

In addition, he asked God to give Professor Yilwatda, his family, and everyone else grieving the death of Mama Lydia Yilwatda strength and prayed for her soul’s rest.
