The new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, or APC, is Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs. The APC’s National Executive Committee, or NEC, meeting on Thursday confirmed Yilwatda’s appointment. He is going to take over for Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned last month due to health concerns.
Following Ganduje’s resignation, Ali Bukar Dalori took over as acting Deputy National Chairman (North).
Yilwatda, a renowned scholar and former Plateau State gubernatorial candidate, has long been seen as a devoted party man who is well-respected for his depth of policy and calm temperament.
As the party prepares for elections and internal reforms, his appointment is anticipated to bring about a more strategic period in its leadership
