Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has sparked concern after posting a tearful video and writing, “I give up,” on social media.
The emotional clip, shared on her Instagram Story early Friday, revealed her deep emotional and mental struggles linked to ongoing family problems.
“I tried. I feel like I’m going crazy, I’m losing my mind, and it’s not making any sense. I’m really crying in front of everybody,” Daniels said in the video.
Earlier on Thursday, Daniels had celebrated her parents’ reconciliation, saying their reunion brought her joy.
“Two concluded sworn enemies reuniting with no negative ulterior motive other than their daughter’s happiness,” she wrote.
She explained that her parents, currently in Abuja, are working together to secure the release of her brother Sammy, who has been detained for several days.
“Sammy’s detainment is taking way too long, but we will get him out even if I have to march there myself and create a storm! Since they want me!” she stated.
In another video, actress Mercy Johnson was seen searching for Sammy.
“He’s not here,” Johnson said in the clip, adding that she would continue searching.
Visibly distressed, Daniels cried as she expressed frustration and hinted at returning to her husband, Ned Nwoko.
“But please, what am I even begging for? I don’t know. Do you guys think it’s easy? Every time I wake up, I say one thing, oh my brother, today I hear good news, he’s about to be free, then tomorrow I hear another thing. Like, what’s the problem? But I’ve tried. I have to go. I will go back,” she said.
Weeks earlier, Daniels had hinted at domestic abuse in her marriage.
“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing,” she said in an emotional video shared on October 18. “However, I am a queen in my home. Not once again. The violence is too much for me to handle.”
Nwoko later denied the allegations, claiming his wife’s outburst stemmed from “drug and alcohol abuse” and that she required treatment.
Despite the tension, Daniels uploaded another emotional video on Wednesday, describing her mother as her “pillar and protector.”
She appealed to Nigerians to stop harassing her and promised to stay strong for her children, Munir and Khalifa.
“I’m going to fight for my children. I’ll take them, train them, and raise them with or without your support,” she declared, noting that her family never approved of her marriage.
The actress ended her message by expressing determination to overcome her current struggles.
