Adidas has launched the Trionda, the official match ball for the 2026 World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

FIFA said in a statement, “The countdown to the game-changing FIFA World Cup 26 has reached its latest significant milestone with the launch of the adidas TRIONDA, the official match ball of the competition. The name TRIONDA can be translated from Spanish as ‘three waves,’ and, alongside other unique and innovative design features, celebrates the fact that, for the first time, three host countries; Canada, Mexico and the United States, are uniting to host the FIFA World Cup.”

The Adidas Trionda 2026 World Cup ball features designs inspired by the Mexican eagle, Canadian maple leaf, and American star. Its matte surface features embossed details that create a striking and elegant look, marking a historic design moment.

Beyond appearance, the Adidas Trionda 2026 World Cup ball integrates advanced technology. A built-in microprocessor transmits real-time data to video referees. This innovation enhances decision-making and reduces errors during matches. Adidas described the Trionda as its most advanced ball yet.

The launch marks a key milestone ahead of the 2026 WorldCup, scheduled to run from June 11 to July 19.

FIFA began online ticket sales, with over 4.5 million fans from 216 countries already entering the presale draw. The official tournament draw will take place on December 5 in Washington, D.C.
