“It’s My Birthright” – Davido Defends Lavish Lifestyle on X

Davido, the award-winning Afrobeats artist, is currently experiencing a resurgence in popularity, but it is not due to the release of a new song. Rather, it is the result of a contentious debate that transpired on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday morning.

It all started when the artist posted via his X handle, clearly annoyed by the unrelenting criticism.

However, things swiftly got out of hand when a user named @Spyalen jabbed the bear, saying, “This celeb life no fit you walai 😂” Davido’s reply was not subtle at all: “Naija fake celeb  life .. i no want … e no fit me but nah me dey live am pass God for give u na mugu”

Another user, @1yxrlo, heated the pot even more by dubbing Davido a “local celeb from Ede.”  Davido retaliated with a vicious slash: “U wey ur papa dey suffer 😂”.

The singer uploaded a photo of himself inside a private jet to permanently silence his detractors.  However, the trolling continued.  @1yxrlo challenged Davido to refute their allegation that the jet was co-owned by seven persons.  The gloves truly came off at that point.

” I GIVE YOU 1 hr … show me ur papa car …1..2..3 go ! One hour and u go show proof  .. paper work … ur mouth  go finish today !! U are the most useless child any parent  can have … if u no show that  car in one hour u be bastard”.  Davido yelled.

Longtime supporters were also caught in the crossfire. @highchart, a self-described 30BG devotee, attempted to defend Davido by saying, “He doesn’t have any car!!   She replied, “He’s one lowlife looking for your attention, now you’ve given him” but the superstar wasn’t having it ” E be like that follow no sweet u again … talk pim again,” he cautioned.

The drama was heightened by another user, @wickedpresh, who made fun of the troll’s way of life:  “Car how? Person wey dey work for bar 😭😂 30k monthly 😭😭😭”

With a laugh, Davido responded, “All those Odogwu bar settings 😂.”  Davido tweeted something mysterious but heartfelt as the drama played out: “Pple will forget all the 1000 times u done came  thru!! Dont come thru once out of the 1000 they will forget  the other 999”

With this audacious flex, he ended the day: “this free jet wey i dey fly all around the world dey really pain una … im sorry its my birth rite  … in my next life i go come back as fulcanizer ma binu … 3rd ✈️ on the way btw … 😎”

Social media users are split; some support Davido’s aggressive posture, while others believe he paid too much attention to trolls.  One thing is for sure, though: OBO (Omo Baba Olowo) as he’s fondly called is not the person to toy with.
