Nigerian comedian Shank, whose real name is Adesokan Emmanuel, survived a car accident on Saturday along the Lagos-Calabar coastal road, which is still under construction.
A viral video from the scene showed Shank beside his wrecked yellow Mercedes-Benz, surrounded by onlookers. Debris from the collision covered the road, with the car’s front end completely destroyed.
Later, the comedian took to Instagram to share photos of the aftermath and thank God for his safety.
“The craziest thing happened to me today on stream. I crashed! God is good. Sorry for your Benz @habbyforex_. God, thank you. This would have gone worse. Drive safe guys,” he wrote.
Shank began his comedy career after graduating from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), first as a stand-up comedian before moving into skit production.
He gained fame during the COVID-19 lockdown, when his relatable Nigerian comedy sketches went viral. Today, he boasts millions of followers across major social media platforms and recently ventured into live streaming.
