Popular Nollywood actor, Ibrahim Chatta mourns son’s death, leaving Nollywood colleagues and fans in shock. The 54-year-old actor announced the tragedy on Instagram on Saturday.
Chatta shared a picture of his late son with the caption: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Rest on, dear son, champ.” He did not reveal the cause of death.
The news triggered condolence messages from fans and Nollywood colleagues. Days earlier, veteran actress Peju Ogunmola also lost her only son, Ayomikun, in Ibadan.
The back-to-back tragedies devastated the Nollywood industry, plunging colleagues and admirers into mourning.
Years ago, Ibrahim Chatta revealed he lost his first child, a daughter, in June. He said poor health care and financial struggles caused her death.
