Omah Lay Parts Ways with Manager Muyiwa Awoniyi

Afrobeats artist Omah Lay and music executive Muyiwa Awoniyi have called it quits on their working relationship. In an announcement posted on his X site on Friday, Awoniyi said he still supports the artist in spite of their business split.

He wrote, “With love and respect, I am no longer managing @Omah_Lay. That’s my brother and I wish him all the best in his endeavours for life,”

Although he did not reveal the cause of their breakup, Awoniyi emphasized that they had no animosity toward one another.

Since 2020, Awoniyi has been in charge of Omah Lay, whose true name is Stanley Omah Didia. The founder of BSB Management Agency, Awoniyi, has collaborated with Tems, Nonso Amadi, and Lekka Beats, among other well-known artists.

He started “Insights By Muyiwa,” a mentorship program for emerging musicians, in 2022. It takes place in London, Ghana, and Nigeria.

At the age of 15, Omah Lay started his musical career. When his popular songs “You” and “Bad Influence” were released in 2020, he became well-known. He has since rose to prominence in the Nigerian music scene because to his distinct sound and approach.

The “Holy Ghost” singer has not yet made any public remarks on the management shift.
