Tiwa Savage, an Afrobeats artist, has formally terminated her business partnership with Kemi “Mekka” Akunyili, her manager.

The singer expressed her irritation in a series of Instagram postings, warning fans and promoters that she no longer collaborates with Mekka and said she is “tired” of the continuous uncertainty. She made it clear that she would not be responsible for any monetary losses brought on by their interactions.

Tiwa warned that any transactions made through other channels would be deemed null and void and directed all bookings to Vanessa Amadi, her new manager.

She was disappointed that individuals continue to call Mekka for reservations in spite of several warnings, which might result in significant losses.  The singer said she had to make this clarification to safeguard her fans and business partners, even though she rarely discusses personal issues in public.

“I do not work with Mekka anymore,” Tiwa Savage wrote. Please for bookings, contact vanessa.amadi@vapr.co.uk. Any bookings that go through any other channel will be void, and you will lose your money.

“Abeg e don do. I have nothing to do with Mekka. Even if it goes through him and eventually gets to me, I will refuse booking. I have said it many times, but people still call him for bookings. I hate coming on social media for this, but I can’t reach every promoter individually.”

“I just got a call that the money for a booking I have coming up was just paid to his personal account. Your people will lose your money. I’m saying it again for the last time because I will not be responsible for you losing your money.”
