Senator Gbenga Daniel, former Ogun governor, dismissed claims that he plans to rejoin the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Daniel declared the reports false and restated his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC). His response followed his suspension by the APC Ogun chapter alongside Mr. Kunle Folarin for alleged anti-party activities.
The suspension sparked speculation about Daniel’s possible defection. However, the senator, representing Ogun East, insisted he remains firmly in the APC.
In a statement released by the OGD Media Office on Monday, Daniel emphasized:
“For the avoidance of doubt, Senator Gbenga Daniel is and remains a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, a Senator and remains on the platform of the APC.”
