Lagos Gives 21-Day Ultimatum to 176 Illegal Estates

The Lagos State Government has given a 21-day ultimatum to 176 estate developments across the state to obtain proper layout approvals or face sanctions.

The owners and developers of these unlawful estates did not register with the proper authorities before to starting the projects, according to a document released Monday by the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.

It was emphasized in the notice signed by Mr. Oluwole Sotire, Permanent Secretary in the Office of Physical Planning, how important it is for all developers and real estate professionals to register with the Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (LASRERA), which is in charge of overseeing, coordinating, and regulating developers in the industry.

Adron Homes, Elerangbe; Aina Gold Estate, Okun-Folu; Diamond Estate, Eputu; Prime Water View Garden, Ikate Elegushi; Lekki Palms Estate, Olomowewe; Living Spring Estate, Lafiaji; Atlantic View Estate, Lekki; Yomade Heritage, Epe Road; and Royal View Estate, Ikota were among the illegal estates listed in the notice, which was primarily located in the state’s Eti-Osa, Ajah, Ibeju-Lekki, and Epe axis.

For the required layout permissions, the developers must deliver the required paperwork to Mr. Sotire at the Ministry of Planning and Urban Development in Alausa, Ikeja, within 21 days.
