Slovenian striker Benjamin Šeško is now in Manchester, United Kingdom to finalize his big-money move to Manchester United after the club agreed a deal worth €76.5 million plus €8.5 million in add-ons with RB Leipzig.

The 22-year-old will undergo his medical on Thursday morning and sign a five-year contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until June 2030. His official unveiling is scheduled for Friday, with Šeško likely to appear in the stands or on the pitch during United’s weekend fixture.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal with his trademark “Here we go,” stating that personal terms had already been agreed, making way for United to beat rivals Newcastle United to the promising forward.

Šeško has long been on United’s radar and is expected to lead the club’s attack in the upcoming 2025/26 Premier League season.

Šeško’s rise has been impressive. At Red Bull Salzburg, he scored 29 goals and provided 11 assists in 79 matches. A loan spell at FC Liefering saw him bag 22 goals in 44 games. Most recently, he found the net 39 times in 87 appearances for RB Leipzig.

Known for his speed, height, aerial prowess, and clinical finishing, Šeško offers United a fresh dimension in the final third, combining physicality with technical skill.

The Slovenian becomes United’s third summer signing, following the acquisitions of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.

Reports also suggest the club is in talks with Brighton’s Carlos Baleba, while PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma is being considered as a replacement for Andre Onana, who has struggled to impress since he joined United.

With Šeško’s signing almost complete, United fans are eagerly awaiting his debut at the Theatre of Dreams, where hopes are high that he will be the next great striker in the club’s storied history.
