BBNaija Season 10 Premiere: Meet the First Housemates

Tonight was the thrilling debut of Big Brother Naija, BBNaija Season 10, which brought the first group of housemates into the renowned house.  A fascinating 90-day adventure full of drama, excitement, and rivalry for the ₦150 million grand prize was put in motion by the twin launch event, which aired at 7:00 PM WAT on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49.

As contestants are revealed in the most recent season of Nigeria’s most talked-about reality TV program, the excitement only grows.  A brief summary of the lively characters that were presented is as follows:

Zita

Zita, a 24-year-old student, led the group. She came into the house promising vibes and realness, eager to make friends and experience BBNaija.

Mide

Mide, the second housemate to take center stage and infuse the house with new life, came right behind.

Sultana

When Sultana, the third housemate, arrived, the evening took an unexpected turn and there was talk of a significant “switch up” in the dynamics of the program.  She plays a lot and is a big goofball.

Doris

Doris, who takes pride in being a tomboy, adds a touch of athleticism to the home.  She likes to do cartwheels, handstands, tennis, and running.  She promises to bring a dynamic presence with her bold personality and energy. 

Big Soso

“If life shakes you, shake it back” is Big Soso’s mantra, and she never backs down from a challenge.  She claims she’s never one to back down from a conflict and is unabashedly brave.

Tracy

Tracy positions herself as a model of “beauty with brains.”  Despite her reputation as a party girl, she acknowledges that she is introverted and worries about friendships being betrayed while she is in the home.

Ivatar

Ivatar is a multi-talented performer who has worked as a DJ, Radio host, and model.  She claims she’s prepared for everything the house throws at her since she has eye-catching tattoos and exudes confidence.

Sabrina

Sabrina, a former international model, acknowledges that while she doesn’t enjoy living with a lot of people, she is willing to try it.  Her calm but guarded manner might be interesting.

Gigi Jasmine

Gigi Jasmine is happy to call herself a “ajebutter.”  She adds refinement and elegance, as well as a gentle charm that might win people over.

Thelma Lawson

Thelma, a lifestyle influencer and skincare entrepreneur, is renowned for her unpredictability.  She asserts that her presence speaks for itself and that she doesn’t need to do much to get attention.

Imisi

Actress and fashion designer Imisi characterizes herself as bold and playful.  She is supposed to infuse the dynamics of the house with originality and flare.

Ibifubara

Ibifubara, who is from Rivers State, describes herself as a “soft baddie” who hates stress.  She combines peaceful energy with artistic vibrations as a therapist and creative.

Isabella

Isabella, a single mother of a 14-year-old, is the 13th person introduced in this batch.  She is eager to demonstrate that motherhood and ambition can coexist. She is described as having a gentle heart but a lot of energy.

Joanna

Joanna, 21 is highly intuitive and has won beauty pageants twice.  She considers herself a “beauty with brains” as well.

Dede

Dede, who is the last to be introduced tonight, adores cooking, comes last. However, she claims that she is not obliged to prepare meals for anybody in the family.  She loves the limelight and is prepared for the money.

As the premiere progresses, viewers are riveted to their TVs, anticipating the second launch night on July 27, 2025, when additional roommates will be unveiled.  Viewers may follow updates on official BBNaija season 10 social media accounts or watch every moment live on Showmax.
