Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso has dismissed speculation over winger Vinícius Júnior, stating that there is “no Vini Jr case” and praising the player for his honesty and transparency with the squad.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Alonso said, “There’s no Vini Jr. case, it’s all clarified. Vini spoke in front of all of us on Wednesday, and he’s been fantastic. He’s been very honest and clear. His statement has been powerful. The words he said to his teammates are the most important thing.”

Alonso confirmed that Vinícius Jr. will not face any punishment, adding, “The matter is closed. He was impeccable in his speech in front of all of us.”

Vinícius Jr had issued a public apology to fans, teammates, and club officials following his reaction after being substituted during Sunday’s intense El Clásico clash against Barcelona.

Alonso also commented on out-of-favour Real Madrid winger Endrick, who is reportedly set to go on loan in January. “I would have liked Endrick to have had more minutes. But some circumstances need to be right,” he said.

Discussions between the club and potential suitors for Endrick are reportedly ongoing ahead of the January transfer window.
