The Nigerian Air Force will temporarily close parts of Lagos Airport Road on Saturday for a fitness walk involving its personnel.
According to a statement on Friday by the spokesperson for the NAF Headquarters Logistics Command, Squadron Leader Abigail Ologun, the 10-kilometre walk aims to improve personnel health, well-being, and operational readiness.
The exercise will begin at 6:00 a.m. and end by 8:00 a.m. During the activity, some sections of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Road and nearby routes will not be open to public vehicles.
Ologun explained that the affected stretch will run from Murtala Muhammed Airport 2 to Murtala Muhammed International Airport. She urged motorists to use alternative routes during the period and cooperate with security personnel to ease movement.
The Air Force emphasized that the brief road closure is part of its regular fitness routine for officers across the country.
