Air Peace, the pride of Nigeria in aviation, has declared that on October 26, 2025, it will start operating direct international flights from Abuja to London Heathrow and London Gatwick Airports. The expansion represents a major turning point in the airline’s continuous efforts to improve global connectivity and provide first-rate service between Nigeria and the UK.
Air Peace’s wide-body Boeing 777 aircraft will be used to operate the new routes. Its integrated connectivity model, which gives passengers the most flexibility and smooth travel, sets this service apart.
There is no need for repeated reservations or baggage rechecks when passengers book through-tickets to Heathrow or Gatwick via Abuja from any of Air Peace’s domestic destinations in Nigeria. Similarly, through Air Peace’s main hub in Abuja, travelers leaving London will have access to a number of Nigerian cities, including Lagos, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Owerri, Kano, Asaba, and more.
The airline claims that this combined product line gives it a competitive advantage and makes travel between the two nations easier and more effective. Travel convenience and accessibility are improved by the ability to choose from a variety of entry and exit points throughout Nigeria and the UK.
Allen Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace, stated, “We are thrilled to launch these direct services from Abuja to Heathrow and Gatwick, which reflects our dedication to expanding international access for our valued customers.” In addition, he stated,
“Our goal has always been to democratize air travel for Nigerians while showcasing our capacity to compete globally with a product that speaks to quality, reliability, and affordability,”
