President Bola Tinubu has sacked Fegho John Umunubo as Special Assistant on Digital and Creative Economy at the Vice President’s Office.

Abiodun Oladunjoye, the State House Director of Information and Public Relations, announced the dismissal in a statement. The release confirmed that the termination is effective immediately.

“Anyone who deals with him in the name of President Tinubu’s administration does so at their own risk,” the statement warned. Tinubu stressed that Fegho John Umunubo no longer speaks for his government.

Tinubu had appointed Umunubo in 2023 to help drive growth in Nigeria’s digital and creative economy. However, no reason was provided for the sudden dismissal.

Tinubu sacks Umunubo amid growing efforts to strengthen his administration. Stakeholders and the public were cautioned to avoid engaging Umunubo on government matters.
