President Tinubu Celebrates Olubadan at 90

President Bola Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Olakulehin, on the occasion of his 90th birthday, which falls on July 5, 2025, and the first anniversary of his coronation as the 43rd Olubadan, celebrated on July 12.

In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Oba Olakulehin as a beacon of wisdom, peace, and enduring leadership.

“At 90, His Majesty embodies the rare blend of age-old wisdom, service, and enduring leadership through decades of selfless dedication to nation-building and community development,” Tinubu stated.

“Your Imperial Majesty, Oba Olakulehin, as you mark nine decades of a life well lived in service, sacrifice, and stewardship, and on your first anniversary on the throne of your forefathers, we honour not only your longevity but also your immense contributions to community development and national unity. May your reign be peaceful, prosperous, and impactful.”

The President joined the people of Ibadanland, Nigeria’s traditional institutions, and well-wishers nationwide and beyond in celebrating a monarch whose reign has been marked by a commitment to cultural preservation, peace, and progress.

He hailed Olubadan as a foremost traditional ruler and respected elder statesman who has dedicated his life to preserving Yoruba traditions and values.

President Tinubu concluded by praying for Oba Olakulehin’s continued strength, sound health, and a long, impactful reign that will symbolize peace and pride for future generations
