Temi Otedola, fashion influencer and daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola, revealed she chose to adopt her husband Mr. Eazi’s last name instead of her father’s.
In a BBC interview, she said she had not given the matter much thought before marriage and saw it as a natural next step.
She explained, “It’s not anything I thought about before. Obviously, when I’m now a married woman, the obvious thing for me is to take my husband’s name, but it’s my personal choice.”
Temi emphasized her respect for other women’s decisions: “It’s my personal choice, I respect everybody’s personal choice. It’s what I’m comfortable and happy doing.”
She also discussed her marriage to Mr. Eazi, calling him her best friend and soulmate. “First and foremost, he’s my best friend, that’s my person. I can’t imagine spending the rest of my life with anybody else,” she said.
The couple expressed excitement for their future together: “He’s the person that I’m excited and can’t wait to spend every day with, celebrate together, and work through ups and downs.”
With Temi active in fashion and films and Mr. Eazi prominent in international music, their recent wedding has drawn widespread attention on social media and among fans.
