Soludo reelection draws praise from President Tinubu, who calls it a triumph for leadership and democracy.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulated Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo on his reelection in Anambra State. He described the victory as a strong endorsement of Soludo’s leadership over the past four years.
“Congratulations to Professor Chukwuma Soludo on his re-election as the governor of Anambra State,” Tinubu said. “The overwhelming victory he recorded in Saturday’s poll has now made him the third governor in the state’s political history to win a second term.”
Tinubu praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and Anambra citizens for ensuring a peaceful and credible election. He emphasized that Soludo’s reelection reflects visionary leadership and tangible progress.
He commended Soludo, popularly known as “Mr. Solution,” for bringing discipline, intellectual depth, and responsible governance to Anambra.
“Governor Soludo has demonstrated that knowledge is power and that academic principles can be applied in serving the people. Under him, Anambra is living up to its motto as the Light of the Nation,” Tinubu stated.
The President recalled his May visit to Anambra, where he inaugurated several projects executed by the Soludo administration. He described the visit as “remarkable and indelible,” citing the projects as proof of “good thinking and purposeful leadership.”
Tinubu urged Soludo to be magnanimous in victory and extend a hand of cooperation to his opponents. He pledged continued support from the Federal Government.
“I assure Governor Soludo of my unwavering support, and I look forward to continued collaboration between Anambra and the Federal Government,” Tinubu said.
He also highlighted the All Grand Progressives Alliance’s (AGPA) success in the election, calling it a testament to Nigeria’s democratic strength.
