Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal, has paid respect to Jorge Costa, the former captain of FC Porto, who passed away at the age of 53.
At the club’s training facility on Tuesday, Costa suffered a heart attack and passed away. Ronaldo paid his final tribute to Costa by posting a message on his Instagram story.
Ronaldo shared a photo of the former Portugal defender along with the comment, “Ate sempre Jorge Costa,” and a dove emoji. That means “Until Forever” or “Always love” in English.
Under manager Jose Mourinho, Costa led Porto to Champions League success in 2004.
During his playing career, he also earned 50 caps for Portugal.
