First Lady Remi Tinubu has turned her 65th birthday into a call for education support. She urged friends, associates, and fans to donate funds toward completing the long-delayed National Library instead of sending gifts.

In a video message released on Monday, Mrs. Tinubu asked well-wishers to avoid cards, cakes, flowers, and newspaper ads. She said she would spend Sunday, September 21, 2025, in reflection and gratitude to God.

“I appeal to those who would send cards, cakes, or flowers to instead contribute to the National Library project. That will be the best birthday present I could receive,” she said.

The First Lady explained that the initiative reflects her passion for education and Nigeria’s cultural development. Remi Tinubu also announced that the Federal Ministry of Education will oversee the project under the #Oluremi@65EducationFund banner.
