Governor Dikko Radda has signed the ₦137 billion 2025 Katsina Supplementary Budget into law after its approval by the State House of Assembly on Tuesday.
The budget allocates ₦10.2 billion for recurrent expenses and ₦126.8 billion for capital projects. It aims to complete ongoing developments across Katsina State and sustain the administration’s strong infrastructure drive.
Speaking after the signing, Governor Radda praised the House of Assembly for passing the budget swiftly.
He explained that the supplementary funds were necessary because many Ministries, Departments, and Agencies had exhausted their earlier capital allocations.
According to Radda, most of the budget will fund projects in education, healthcare, roads, water supply, and agriculture. He assured residents that implementation would follow his administration’s principles of accountability and transparency.
“I commend the Honourable Speaker, Nasir Daura, and all members of the Katsina State House of Assembly for their swift legislative action on this critical bill. Your commitment to the development of our state is truly commendable,” Radda said.
House Leader Shamsuddeen Dabai lauded Radda as one of Nigeria’s top-performing governors, noting that the supplementary budget came at the right time given the volume of ongoing and completed projects.
Governor’s spokesman Ibrahim Mohammed said the Assembly’s Appropriations Committee reviewed and cleared the proposal before granting approval.
Dikko Radda’s 2025 Katsina Supplementary Budget highlights the state’s commitment to development, transparency, and timely public infrastructure delivery.
