Senator Ned Nwoko has reacted to the viral controversy, describing his wife’s recent behavior as “drug-influenced” and “unprovoked carnage.”
In a long Instagram post on Sunday, Nwoko claimed that actress Regina Daniels was battling drug and alcohol abuse, which he said was destroying their marriage.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem,” Nwoko wrote. “She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety.”
The senator alleged that while he was away, Regina attacked workers and damaged property during a violent outburst at their home.
“She slapped and hit three staff in the past 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows, for no just cause. Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs,” he claimed.
Nwoko said he had offered his wife two rehabilitation options; one in Jordan and another in Asokoro,“where she will not have access to drugs.” He accused Regina’s colleagues, whom he called “drug suppliers,” of worsening the situation at home.
“While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier,” Nwoko alleged.
The controversy erupted after a viral video showed the actress visibly distressed and shouting during a heated altercation. In the clip, Regina cried out, saying, “I am nothing in Ned Nwoko’s house, but I am a Queen in my own. Never again. The violence is too much for me to bear.”
In response, her brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman, known as Sammy West, accused Nwoko of assaulting his sister. He vowed to defend her, writing, “Anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood.”
As of now, Regina Daniels and her representatives have not responded to Nwoko’s claims, leaving the cause of the altercation unclear.
Since her 2019 marriage to Ned Nwoko, Regina Daniels has frequently attracted media attention alongside the businessman and politician.
Their 40-year age difference has continued to fuel public debate and curiosity, further intensifying the controversy.
