Juventus have sacked Igor Tudor as head coach after their 1-0 loss to Lazio, which extended their poor Serie A form. The club managed only five points from their last five matches.

In a statement on Monday, the Turin side confirmed Tudor’s dismissal. Massimiliano Brambilla, coach of the men’s first squad, will take charge on the bench against Udinese on Wednesday.

“Juventus FC announces that it has today relieved Igor Tudor of his duties as head coach of the men’s first team, along with his staff consisting of Ivan Javorcic, Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci,” the statement read.

“The club thanks Igor Tudor and his entire staff for their professionalism and dedication over the past few months and wishes them all the best for their future careers.”

The sack follows a disappointing run in Serie A. Juventus currently sit ninth in the league, six points behind leaders Napoli.

In the Champions League rankings, they are placed 25th out of 36 clubs, after losing two of their first three matches and drawing one.
