Chef Hilda Baci is set to prepare the largest pot of Nigerian Jollof rice. She announced the project on Instagram Friday. The giant pot measures six meters wide and six meters high.

Baci revealed that achieving this milestone has been her goal for two years. She expressed joy and excitement over making the dream a reality. She emphasized that the event will celebrate Nigerian culture, music, and community, not just cooking.

Hilda Baci will host the cook-off on September 12, 2025, at Muri Okunola park, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Baci wrote, “In 2023, the Hilda Baci cookathon took the world by storm. This year, it is Jollof, the heartbeat of West Africa. A taste that tells our story. It is more than cooking; it is a celebration of our food, our culture, our music, and us. We are making history again, and I want you to be there when it happens.”

She added, “Two years ago, I imagined the largest pot of Nigerian Jollof rice the world had ever seen. Today, with Gino, my dream is becoming a reality. Hi, I am Hilda Baci, and on September 12, 2025, I will be making the largest pot of Nigerian Jollof rice the world has ever seen, with my Gino and you.”

Baci first rose to fame in May 2023 after breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking marathon. However, Irish chef Alan Fisher broke her record in November 2023.
