The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (FMHUD) has cautioned the public against falling for scammers’ tricks regarding the 753 housing units that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seized and forfeited to the Federal Government.
The housing units were turned over by the EFCC in May 2025.
Recall that the Federal Government intends to sell the houses to interested members of the public through an open and competitive process in accordance with the Renewed Hope Agenda, as stated by Housing Minister Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa when he took possession of the estate from the anti-graft agency.
The ministry said it had not hired any person or business to sell the units in a statement released on Saturday in Abuja and signed by Badamasi Haiba, Director of Press and Public Relations.
