Ebonyi Governor Lifts Suspension on 81 Top Public Officials

Francis Nwifuru, the governor of Ebonyi State, has revoked the suspension of 81 public servants who had previously been punished for skipping an important state event.

Dr. Monday Uzor, the governor’s chief press secretary, made the decision public in a statement on Tuesday.

The announcement stated that, “the affected commissioners, Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), Special Assistants (SAs) and permanent secretaries are to resume official duties immediately”

The Attorney General, 25 commissioners, 22 permanent secretaries, 14 senior special assistants, and 24 special assistants were all impacted by the July 28 announcement of the suspension.

During the suspension time, they were not allowed to sign official documents and were not paid.
