Dangote Group Pledges Medical Support for BBNaija Phyna’s Sister After Edo Truck Accident

Dangote Group Plc has pledged full medical care and compensation for Mrs. Ruth Otabor, sister of Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma “Phyna” Otabor, after she sustained serious injuries in an accident involving one of the company’s trucks in Auchi, Edo State.

The incident, which occurred last week along the Auchi axis, left Mrs. Otabor hospitalised at the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital. Eyewitnesses reported that the accident caused heavy traffic until emergency responders and security personnel arrived.

In a statement on Thursday, Dangote Group confirmed that senior officials from Dangote Cement Plc, along with its insurance team, visited the accident site, engaged with law enforcement, and met the victim and her family.

“This action reflects our unwavering commitment to the well-being of those affected. We are ensuring full support for Mrs. Otabor, including comprehensive medical care and appropriate compensation, in line with Dangote Group’s welfare policy,” the company said, wishing her a speedy recovery.

Dangote Group added that it is working with authorities to ensure a thorough investigation into the accident and reaffirmed its commitment to road safety and the welfare of those impacted by its operations.
