Phyna’s sister Ruth Otabor dies weeks after a tragic road accident involving a Dangote truck in Edo State. Ruth, sister of BBNaija season 7 winner Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, passed away on Sunday morning around 6:30 a.m.

In a statement on Sunday night, the Otabor family’s lawyers, Eko Solicitors & Advocates, confirmed her death and appealed for privacy. The family added, “We will communicate the funeral arrangement to the public in due course.”

The group revealed it had arranged to fly Ruth to India for advanced treatment, pending medical clearance. “Sadly, despite these efforts and Ruth’s brave fight to live, we lost her today,” the statement read.

Dangote Group extended condolences to the Otabor family and reiterated its commitment to safety, accountability, and compassion in its operations.
