The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the temporary suspension of its recruitment application portal in a move aimed at improving the system’s overall efficiency. The portal is used for recruiting personnel into Nigeria’s paramilitary agencies.

In a public statement released on July 16, 2025, the CDCFIB noted that this decision was necessary to ensure a seamless and fair recruitment experience for thousands of applicants. The portal is expected to reopen on Monday, July 21, 2025.

“This development will ensure that the portal accommodates the high volume of applications while guaranteeing a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process,” the board said.

The Secretary to the Board, Maj Gen AM Jibril (rtd.), signed the notice and reiterated the board’s commitment to a credible recruitment system. He also acknowledged the enthusiasm of Nigerian youths eager to serve through these essential paramilitary services.

The CDCFIB urged applicants to remain patient and assured them that once the portal is back online, all recruitment activities will proceed with improved efficiency.
