Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka could miss up to four weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury. The setback rules him out of this Sunday’s trip to Liverpool.

The injury occurred during Arsenal’s 5-0 win over Leeds United on Saturday. The England international limped off in the second half, sparking concern among fans and teammates.

After the game, Mikel Arteta admitted the injury was worrying. “Bukayo Saka was running with the ball, and he felt something in his hamstring,” Arteta said. “It’s not the same leg as last season, but for him to come off, it’s significant.”

BBC Sport later confirmed that the injury will keep him out for three to four weeks. While the news is not as bad as feared, it remains a huge blow for Arsenal’s title push.

Arsenal also face fitness concerns elsewhere. Captain Martin Ødegaard left the pitch holding his right shoulder in a sling. Kai Havertz is already sidelined with a knee injury from the season opener against Manchester United.

The injury means Arsenal could head into crucial fixtures without several key players, testing their squad depth in the coming weeks.
