Former President Muhammadu Buhari’s funeral has been moved from Monday to Tuesday, July 15, 2025. During a press briefing on Monday, Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda made the announcement. He revealed that discussions with Buhari’s family and associates in London, where the late president passed away, led to the modification.
“We have made consultations with his family and people around him in London, and we have concluded that the body will arrive tomorrow by 12 p.m.,” Radda stated.
He also mentioned that Buhari’s hometown of Daura in Katsina State will host the funeral at 2:00 p.m.
Right now, his remains are being transported by air from the UK to Nigeria.
Following a protracted illness that had not been made public, the former president passed away in London on Sunday.
