Brian Brobbey’s last-minute goal earned Sunderland a thrilling 2-2 draw against Premier League leaders Arsenal, ending their ten-game winning streak. At the Stadium of Light, former Arsenal defender Dan Ballard fired Sunderland ahead in the 36th minute with a powerful finish. That goal ended Arsenal’s eight-game clean sheet streak across all competitions.

Bukayo Saka equalized calmly in the 54th minute, bringing Arsenal back into the game. Leandro Trossard then put the Gunners ahead in the 76th minute with a precise strike from the edge of the box.

As Arsenal pushed to secure an eleventh straight win, Sunderland refused to give up. In the fourth minute of stoppage time, **Brian Brobbey stabbed home from Ballard’s header**, salvaging a dramatic draw. Arsenal settled for a single point after appearing close to victory.

The result marked Arsenal’s first draw since their 1-1 stalemate with Manchester City on September 21. Despite the setback, Arsenal remains seven points clear at the top as they chase their first English title since 2004. However, if Manchester City beats Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, that gap could shrink to four points.

Liverpool could also move within five points if they defeat City. The Gunners, runners-up for the past three seasons, have not lifted a trophy since winning the 2020 FA Cup.

At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Bryan Mbeumo gave Manchester United the lead in the 32nd minute, silencing frustrated home fans. Tottenham were jeered off at halftime but responded with determination after the break.

Mathys Tel equalized in the 84th minute, and Richarlison nearly secured victory when Wilson Odobert’s shot was blocked in the 91st. However, Matthijs de Ligt rescued United in stoppage time with a powerful 96th-minute header, extending their unbeaten run to five matches.

Tottenham’s home struggles continued, with only one win in six Premier League home games this season. The result leaves United winless in eight meetings against fourth-place Tottenham, including a 1-0 loss in last May’s Europa League final.
