Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Opeyemi Ayanwale, known as Imisi, has announced plans to launch an NGO for the girl child.

She made this known after receiving a ₦2 million cheque from BetKing in Lagos. The prize came from a challenge she won during her time in the BBNaija house.

Imisi described the gesture as inspiring and said it strengthened her passion for helping young girls. She also reflected on her tough childhood, saying those experiences shaped her desire to support others.

“I am overwhelmed and grateful. It feels good to see everything working in my favour,” she said. “As a lady, I know how hard growing up can be. I want to create something for the girl child, maybe a foundation. It has always been my dream.”

Although everything still feels like a dream, she said she is determined to make the idea a reality soon.

Imisi, who had been an actress before joining Big Brother Naija, credited the show for boosting her visibility and career growth. “I have been acting for a while, but Big Brother gave me real exposure. I am happy and thankful,” she added.

At the cheque presentation, BetKing’s Head of Marketing, Nengi Akinola, explained that the reward aimed to celebrate the housemates while promoting the company’s exclusive games.

Akinola said the brand released several games during the show, including Danfo Lagos and JJ Ball X, a collaboration with Jay Jay Okocha. She added that BetKing was reviewing the success of its collaboration with Big Brother Naija before planning future partnerships.

Imisi’s planned NGO will focus on mentoring and empowering girls through education and skill development. Her vision reflects a personal mission to help young women overcome social and economic barriers.
