The first evictions, a heated Head of House (HOH) battle, and the untimely death of a crew member made this weekend’s Big Brother Naija 10/10 season an emotional roller coaster.
Housemates Daniel Olatunji, also known as Danboskid, and Ibifubara Davies were eliminated during Sunday’s live eviction show, making them the first competitors to leave the competition.
After a dramatic immunity card hunt that left 27 housemates potentially facing eviction, they left. Before his housemates greeted him with “three gbosa for Danboskid,” Danboskid was the first to depart, sharing an emotional embrace with his close friend Zita.
The remaining competitors were on edge as they recalculated their strategies for the N150 million grand prize after Ibifubara’s quick exit.
The announcement of the death of Ayotunde Elegbede, a member of the show’s production team, by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu increased the tension. The news from Elegbede’s family was confirmed by the organizers, which clouded the proceedings of the evening.
The Week 3 HOH challenge on Sunday featured intense competition, but Zita and Sabrina were unable to participate because of their health. The top five competitors; Kaybobo, Jason, Tracy, Denari, and Mensan, fought it out following several elimination rounds.
Tracy won the Interim HOH title until the official challenge on Monday after a thrilling final round victory over Denari. To share the HOH condo, she chose Kuture as her special guest.
Denari barely avoided eviction, according to voting results announced after the show, which heightened anticipation for the coming weeks.
