AS Roma have completed the signing of Jamaican winger Leon Bailey from Aston Villa on a season-long loan, with an option to make the move permanent for €22 million.
The 28-year-old attacker joins Roma after four years in the Premier League, where he netted 22 goals in 144 appearances for Aston Villa.
His arrival adds pace and creativity to Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad, as the club pushes to secure a Champions League return for the first time since 2018.
Roma confirmed the deal in a statement on Wednesday, highlighting the flexibility of the one-year loan agreement.
The club begins its 2025/26 Serie A campaign on Saturday when they host Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico and Leon Bailey is expected to make his first appearance in that match.
