Upon LASIEC’s confirmation, the complete list of winners will be made available.
Despite a low voter turnout, the July 12 elections were conducted in a calm and orderly manner, with increased security at polling places. Opposition voices, especially from the PDP, Labour Party, and SDP, have accused the APC of irregularities, including ballot manipulation and limited participation, while the party confidently celebrated its victories.
Following the completion of the chairmanship results, the results of the councillorship election will be compiled and made public. Stakeholders and observers await the complete report from LASIEC as well as the settlement of any electoral disputes.
