Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman Atalanta saga has sparked outrage among the club’s supporters. Some angry fans declared that they would prefer relegation to Serie B over seeing the Super Eagles star play for the team.

Frustrated fans nicknamed him “Guipiman,” meaning street cleaner. Their anger stems from Lookman’s transfer drama, which also involves city rivals Inter Milan.

The Curva Nord 1907 ultras displayed a banner that read: “The shirt must be honoured. Another piece of bullshit will not be tolerated.”

The Vecchia Guardia supporters group went even harder, calling him “AdeMola” and writing: Better Serie B than someone like this in this team.”

Atalanta coach Ivan Juric weighed in ahead of their Serie A opener against Pisa. He warned that Ademola Lookman Atalanta drama comes at a cost.

“When a player tries to force the issue, the fans, who put their heart and soul into the team, are the ones to pay the price,” Juric told FCInterNews.

He added that clubs must protect their own interests, but fan disappointment lingers.

With tensions rising, Lookman’s future at Atalanta remains uncertain as supporters continue to vent their frustration.
